A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) fans will revel in the meticulous work food blogger, recipe developer, and cookbook author Cole (Everyday Sous Vide) has done to imagine each meal described in Maas's romantasy series. Cole brings her gift for assembling elegant, over-the-top, imaginative dishes to Prythian porridge, greens from Tamlin's gardens, Feyre's favorite comfort foods, and the ubiquitous breakfast melons, doctored up with an elegant lemon basil vinaigrette. These are dishes fit for a faery king (or queen), cooked up with a touch of cheeky humor Maas's fans will appreciate. Each headnote references either an actual event in the sprawling series, such as Feyre's birthday cupcakes, or provides the author's imaginative reason behind a dish (a bread that is a nod to the brave with its bold flavors of basil and sundried tomato, a saffron pilaf perfect for cozying up in one of the Day Court's libraries), making this food for thought in the most fantastical, flavorful of ways. VERDICT BookTok-worthy recipes that will delight ACOTAR fans, with sweet enough dishes to (perhaps) seduce some of the literary curmudgeons who don't have a taste for romantasy.--Emily Bowles
